Volunteer Mechanic Training

WRENCH Volunteer Mechanic Training! THIS EVENT IS FULL! STAY TUNED FOR FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES!

Clifton Community Centre, 1315 Strathcona

Mondays from 6-8pm, starting June 6!

Dates: June 6June 13, June 20, and July 4 (Note that we will not meet on June 27)

Want to help the WRENCH get bikes back on the road in Winnipeg? We're welcoming new volunteer mechanics into the fold!

Here is a free four week program to develop your wrenching muscles. You'll learn our approach to piecing bikes together from discarded parts, and offering minor repairs- the basics needed to get you active in our shop!

Volunteering at the WRENCH and other community bike shops is rewarding and productive; and a great way to keep building your skills. Nothing better than helping fellow Winnipeggers get out on their bikes!

Residents of the Clifton Community Centre neighbourhood are strongly encouraged to apply and preference will be given to those who can commit to doing the entire series, however a wait list will be compiled and fill-in opportunities will be provided if a stand opens up for any of the workshops. We have room for 6 people in the course.

Participants must be able to lift 50 lbs and be able to stand for long periods of time. We also ask that participants be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.

Taught by WRENCH Instructors Gregory Allan and Fadumo Ali!
